Alrighty, now. So, somehow, I've gotten into this women in contemporary society class and it's a rather difficult class--by difficult I mean it's at 8:30 in the morning after a bus commute that stops short of the class leaving a short walk to the building. But, enough complaining. While I have considered myself as a bit of a thinker, even at a young age, this class has really got me thinking about how the world interacts with me and how I interact with it. The class talks about how we (meaning all people) live in a highly gendered society--and, now that I am thinking about it, it's really quite obvious and sickening at times. Then we got to the chapter about how women are treated/viewed with regards to religion. I consider myself fairly religious, I am just quiet about it--I do not shove a bible in people's face, but would gladly answer any questions they had about it to the best of my ability--but sometimes I feel like women are second class citizens in it. This is mostly a problem when it comes to how the church interprets the scriptures. I am absoultely not a fan of keeping the woman quiet in the church when it is obvious that women outnumber men in many churches! In fact, reading my text for class, I found out that women played a large role in keeping the church going during the times where pioneers were taming the wild west.
However, going back to the Bible specificaly, I cannot begin to describe that deep sense of sadness, or, maybe anger--or something else entirely--that crept over me and took hold of my mind. summarizing, the passages stated that man shall have authority over the woman. Another passage spoke of how a woman's head must be covered in speaking with God. While I am no expert about the Bible, I think I am fair in asking why must Woman be subjuagated to Man? If God has his eyes on the sparrow, a tiny bird, certainly he must notice a woman? I believe that many of the practicies in religion today have their roots in secular beliefs. I cannot see how God would create Man over Woman--or even the other way. Anyways, I have much more to say, but I only stalling and that will save something for me to write in my next blog... Thanks for reading!

So, while trying to figure out how to speed up my computer, I stumbled upon a new term: "Memory Leak". A memory leak, in case you don't know, occurs when a program does not return the "resources" it borrowed in order to run. Turns out that firefox (which I am running right now) is a leaky program. Well, as soon as I return to my own computer I will try to patch up that leak. As slow as my computer is though, I know it's got to be more than just one program that is slowing my comp down...
Then my mind took the idea of having a memory leak and ran with it. I am so forgetful, I am quite sure that I myself might have a memory leak!
Here's how to fix the leak:

If you are interested in finding some more info, google it. Ya Google!

So, this site needs a logo character. Her dress is a little low, but I'm too lazy to redraw here. I'm thinking about this one:
